Wizarding Residences
[ ]Surrey (2 sub-boards)
A county in England just southwest of London, Surrey is the location of Little Whinging, and thus is the county in which the famous Harry Potter, defeator of the He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named grew up . Heaths, commons and woodlands abound in the area and much of the county is devoted to agriculture, while the market towns and villages of the area are nestled among the lakes and forests. There is a zoo there, of course

[ ]London Homes (7 sub-boards)
Located in southeastern England, London is one of the largest and most famous cities in the world. For Muggles, it is the center of British commerce and government, and for wizards and witches things are no different. With locations such as the Ministry of Magic, St. Mungo's Hospital and Diagon Alley, makes Greater London a perfect place for Wizards and Witches to live.

[ ]Queerditch Marsh (2 sub-boards)
Eight hundred years ago, a group of witches and wizards used an damp stretch of nettle-filled ground called Queerditch Marsh as a place to play a new game they had invented. This game involved broomsticks and a "big leather ball." Soon they added a couple of heavy rocks, bewitched to try to knock players off their brooms. The whole business was observed by a witch named Gertie Keddle who wrote about what she saw, in badly spelled Saxon, in her diary.
Over the centuries that followed, the sport evolved and changed, and though the spelling of its name changed, it was always a homage to its birthplace. Eventually "Queerditch" became "Quidditch" and all but took over the wizarding world. Many of those who love the game have homes here.

[ ]Hogsmeade Village (4 sub-boards)
Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. According to tradition it was founded over a thousand years ago, around the same time as Hogwarts, by Hengist of Woodcroft as he was fleeing persecution by Muggles. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays .As Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship.

[ ]Ireland (1 sub-board)
Ireland, though not officially a part of United Kingdom, is nevertheless closely associated with it - through geography if nothing else. Many wizarding children from Ireland attend Hogwarts, and cities in Ireland are part of the British and Irish Quidditch League. With its lush rolling green hills Ireland makes for a nice quite living.

[ ]St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries (6 sub-boards)
Founded in late 1500s or early 1600s by Mungo Bonham (fw), St. Mungo's Hospital is the primary (and likely only) wizarding hospital in Britain. Located in an abandoned department store in London, the hospital's Healers treat wizards for all sorts of magic-related illnesses and injuries (OP22), and in extreme circumstances has been known to treat Muggles as well (HBP1). The hospital's logo is a wand and a bone, crossed (OP29), and donations are welcome.
